So Impressed by Bahia Honda Park

Oh my, is this ever a top thing to do down here in Monroe County (aka, the Florida Keys!). You just have to stop by on your way down to Key West, it is located at mile marker 37. This will be one of our break spots, as we always stop along the way at three or four attractions. Big winner here!

Where to swim with the Sea Turtles?
Good place for camping and you do stuff for nightlife in Marathon or Big Pine. Tons of sea turtles swim all around the park, even close up you can see them snorkeling around the oceanside. Or take the reef boat out to looe key.

Bahia Honda on the Travel Channel
Samantha Brown was here too! Yep, the Travel Channel did a really good video piece here. She did her bikini and talked in the water to a group of school kids on a trip here. Fantastic bit, you will have to look for the tv repeat.

Bicycling in Bahia Honda
Not so good for bicycling, but the park is big at around 3 or 4 miles. Better to focus on fishing for tarpon from the docks or beach shoreline. Do not miss the Overlook, at the top of the hill by the old bridge structure.

Underwater Live TV Video Camera
They have an underwater camera that you can see the TV Video Monitor from inside the nature shop. You do not even need to get wet to see the reefs and fish.
