This is easily one of the most popular things to do in the Florida Keys (nothing beats the super bike, see our video) and there are more people riding bicycles each day than snorkeling the reefs. The small maps make it very easy for you to keep it in your pocket and pull it out if you get lost. We use our PDA and Google maps, when we find ourselves unable to find a destination. Everything is so nice, scenic, and relaxing. The vast amount of shade trees in Key West really help keep you cool on your bike tours.

Bicycle Pitstops in Key West We ride until we see something and stop, sightsee, and off again. Do stop and sip a refreshing drink on the ocean at the Southernmost Beach Bar. I love the pier too.
What not to Miss in Key West Thank you for writing about bicycling in the city of Key West. As a born here Conch, I was wanting to point out the A1A Scenic Sidewalk Trail. It is the most popular place for bicycle riding on the island. Do not miss that.
Bikes Contribute to Improved Travel Experience Normally I just send new ideas out on my email, but your website has been very helpful in travel planning to the Florida Keys. Our trip was again excellent (fourth trip down from Miami) but it was this trip at the Spin Drift Hotel when we decided to rent some bicycles and tour it on two wheels. What a huge hit is was to cruise around and see the sights on the Super Bike. This blows away mixing only the car and walking. For us, it was about a 40% increase in productivity and 100% more fun. Key West and bicycles go hand in hand.
