It is great here to have a giant park to take advantage of the Florida Keys Outdoor Fun! A big favorite of the local children for all of the daily planned activities and group play. The pool is amazingly huge and you might even try the high dive! Yes, when is the last time you jumped off a really high diving board?

Spring Fest at Founders Park The Easter Weekend was a great time to vacation down on the islands and we did not even plan on the Spring Fest at Founders Park. We found out they hold this event every year, which includes a huge Egg hunt. It was a hoot and all the kids were focused on finding the grand prize, the 1 golden egg which holds the super special prize.

Comment on Rib Daddy's Restaurant Noting beats a BBQ picnic, Founders is so good for that. I love cooking a Rack of Ribs! Yes, or just go to Rib Daddy's and get the Full Rack, the baby back ribs served in epic proportions, all smoked and barbecued like the fisherman like it. The food is so good and after a day on the water is the perfect time for beer and a bbq party feasts.
Our secret fun spot in the Upper Florida Keys A park area like no other in the Keys. It is a blessing to hit the fun events. Even on a mid-day normal day you can go walking, hit the swimming pool, or dump in the kayaking.
Founders Park is great for Family Fun in Islamorada You cannot beat all of the activities in one location. The park even has a designated dog park zone for fido. We like to picnic here by the beach, where the kids can play in the shallow water. It is very scenic along the waterfront, especially when the sun is bright and that opens up the water clarity. Our restaurant (Mad Dog's) is about four miles down. See you soon.
Catamaran Sailors sail from the Beach! The quiet beach at Founders Park is so nice for kids and families. You can snorkel off the beach here, plus the sailing! We found this place when we came down to Plantation Key for a sailing event (Tradewinds Midwinter OpenCat Nationals), and it just the best park in the Florida Keys.
