Indian Key Channel Bridge
One of the really good areas for all types of watersports (lower Islamorada), as a cluster of nice bridges makes it super for boating. At Mile Marker 78, Indian Key Channel Bridge has 10 foot of boating clearance at high tide. Plenty of parking along the road makes it very popular for kayaks.

Where is the best boating in the Florida Keys?
It is great and you see so much on a kayak or canoe. Along the way you see gorgeous small tidal creeks. Keep an eye out for the nature: manatees, dolphins, shark and sea turtles.

Eco-adventurer Weekends in the Florida Keys
Being an Eco-adventurer in the Florida Keys is easy, and no over night camping or mosquitoes! We have found the Keys are so rich in natural treasures like sea turtles! Kayaking is neat as you do not know what is just around the bend. You can easily rent a kayak or canoe, all over down here. Nothing beats a close encounter with nature's bounty.

Kayak and Video fun in the Florida Keys
Hi...Of course we are going to kayak and are bringing a video camera. Also, please bring plenty of backup thumb drive with the amount of video we end up taking on our vacation trips. The kayak is not going to be a problem, it is easily on, secure, and will come off in one minute. We can take it anywhere in the lower, middle or upper keys.

Boat Ramp at Mile Marker 78
There is a boat ramp here too, at about mile marker 78.4. On the Bayside, it is a bit primitive and parking is just wherever you can find it. However, the location is idea. Great fishing in and around the Indian Key Channel Bridge, just adjust with the wind.
