One of the most successful large ship cutters built by the Coast Guard, the Ingham served with distinction after being built in 1936. It was a pleasure to see and it just fits perfectly here dockside at the Truman Annex. This is a super area to bicycle ride through and be sure to also see the Presidential Gates, the Little Truman Whitehouse, and Taylor Snorkel Park.

Boating Skills and Seamanship Course At various places in the Florida Keys you can take the Boating Skills and Seamanship Course. It gives boaters so much confidence with safety in mind. The focus is on boat handling, boating rules, course charting, equipment, and standard regulations. If you pass, you get a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card. This can help you get insurance discounts. Thanks for posting our message and website.
Sightseeing Locations on the Island of Key West The Truman Annex is a special neighborhood and the Ingham is just a small part of the cool stuff to see. The winter White House for President Harry Truman is about two blocks away, which is all part of the old Key West Naval Station. Do see that and Bahama Village historic area.
Finding the Secrets of Key West Certainly the Truman Annex is one of the better kept secrets in the City of Key West. It is hidden away on the far end of the island and most people do not even go over and see it. We stayed at the Shipyard Condos, otherwise we would be in the same boat.
