Where is a nice Islamorada boat docking hotel?
Our family stayed for five nights, we wanted a boating vacation. It was a pleasure to stay at this boater friendly hotel, as guest dockage for boats is protected in the private lagoon. It is deep to, even at low tide you can get out to the channel in two minutes. Tie the boat down on all four sides, which is needed because of the wind flow. You are in the thick of the island action, so plan on enjoying tons of watersports.

Burgers in Paradise is a good thing
Glad the Shula Burger Restaurant has taken root here close to the Chesapeake. Has good prices and nice burgers, which you can create your own.

Very good place to stay with boat dockage
When you boat to the right from the lagoon exit, go out about 200 yards before heading down to the bridge. It is nice to be near the bridge, by Bud and Mary's Marina or Whale Harbor, as you can go to either side of the island to avoid the wind. The land blocks the wind, so pick the side accordingly.

Be sure to bring your bicycle to Islamorada
A super place, where you can walk to the Wahoo Restaurant at Whale Harbor. Shopping for gifts and beachware is excellent on the island, use bikes to cruise to all the shops. Also, they have discounts online for the History of Diving Museum. All might as well save a few bucks.
