What is the best family park in the Florida Keys?
The first time we visited the park, we knew it was a Florida Keys Treasure. It is really good on a nice sunny day, then the place just blasts out all of the water colors. This place is huge and has all you could want out of a waterfront playground. Host to all kinds of events throughout the year, including live music at the bandshell.

Founders Park Swimming Lap Pool
This is one of the swimming pools many use to get ready for the FKCC Swim Around Key West. Every June is this huge swimming event sponsored by the Bone Island Masters Club. Not so easy is this 12.5 mile USMS sanctioned event. Everyone swims clockwise around the island of Key West. It is a winner, just visit website for details and registration information.

Founders Park Events are the Best
At the doggie festival here, we saw the Ultimate Air Dogs put on a cool show. These dogs can jump so far off of a dock. Very cool to see and the splash! Founders Park has the coolest events during the year. Each one can pull in thousands of locals and guests, and they are all family friendly (not like Key West)!

Where is a nice dog park in Islamorada?
Be sure to come see us at the Rain Barrel, as we are right next door. We use the park all of the time with the dogs. It is fantastic to have a treasure like this for fitness, relaxation, and the dog park. They offer tons of children's activities that locals take advantage of and the skate park.

You pay an entrance fee at the guard gate
It is kind of a bummer to have to pay the entrance fee, but it is worth it on a nice day. You can rent little sailboats, kayaks, and other waterboard sports toys. That is what makes this place special. Busy on the weekends and when local kids are out of school.
