Key Largo City Boat Ramp

A modern and very well maintained boat launching area in the Pennekamp Bayou. Dock space for rent (electric and water hook-up) is available to rent, just call ahead to determine availability. Large boat moorings are a big plus for those coming down from out of town. The 4 lanes are open to the public, but can fill up the trailer parking area on prime days.

Rules to Renting a Boat for Touring
We went ahead and rented a boat, as with a boat you can really explore. It was a process to go through and here are some key elements that the rental agency is supposed to be on top of. 1 The boat rental representative has to be NASBLA state-approved. 2 The pre-ride overview must cover the safe boating operation, rules of the waterways, and driver responsibilities. 3 The rental agency has to do pre-ride instruction on how to safely operate the watercraft.

Key Largo Boat Trailer Parking
I would estimate about fifty boat trailer parking spots. Never a problem get a spot Monday-Friday, assuming it is not a holiday or festival period.

Excellent Boating Starting Spot
Most people in the area use the ramp to dump in and take the trailer back to the condo or hotel parking lot. During their vacation the boat then gets parked behind their room accommodations. The perfect boater friendly vacation getaway!
