Learning how to use a Pole
This was something completely new to us, but we knew that getting out on the boat was the way to go. As soon as the captain fires up the engines your heart will race up a few beats for sure. It was breath taking and you can climb right up top.

Good Fish to eat on the Party Boat
You really can catch a lot of fish varieties. Do not just think it will be grouper, that is less likely. I do love to eat Black Grouper and Hogfish too. However, here are what was biting during this past month: Lady Fish (Light spinning tackle focused fish found mostly on backcountry grassy flats and reef patches). Cobia (Excellent to eat and fun to catch, more numerous in cooler months). Tripletail (Often found around floating objects and vegetation used for camouflaged feeding). Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin fish are very tasty and extremely colorful to look at with lots of yellow, blue, and greens).

Fantastic help on the Boat
When you start out the captain will call everyone inside and give you the run down and safety information. They set up the poles, give you bait, and help you out. Any problems, just yell out and they come running.
