Boating Sightseeing Spots in Islamorada Boats have no problem docking up at the park. We were on a sailboat and just dinghied ashore to walk around Lignumvitae Key Park. You get to walk around the grounds, take some video, and see a house that was built of coral. Fun for the nature historian, but not for everyone.
Parks and Recreation Spots in the Florida Keys Good spot for a bit of backcountry fishing, right there anywhere around the island. Fish close to the shore, anywhere the water is moving quickly. Offshore it is the ballyhoo which have been schooling in big numbers, keeping us busy. What a great vacation and do snorkel along the outer reefs, what fun.
Scenic Parks in the Florida Keys This island park is maintained by the State of Florida Parks and Recreation. The history of the island included plans to have bridge access to it, but that never materialized. Now it is a fantastic park, and you can access Lignumvitae Key either by private boat, kayak, or tour boat.
