Everything you need to know about the Islands! We stop here every single time we come down the Florida Keys. There are many things you need to know. It makes sense, they have the local knowledge and can set you straight for reef trips, happy hours, and where the good bands are playing.

Marathon Florida Keys Visitors Center Quick stop to pick up a fish identification chart here at the Marathon Visitors Center. The staff is excellent and can point out the best spots for happy hour! Has everything you could ask for regarding watersports and local recreational ideas.

Visiting Mangrove Island We found out that the mangrove tree is what we should be toasting at happy hour. Yes, it formed the islands. The tree has an uncanny ability to grow in the shallow salty water. Over time, the layers of muck, silt, and sea grass pile on and the the next thing you know there is a small island!
