The programs offered at the Mote Marine Education Center are outstanding, and include reef trips. You can learn so much from the local professionals, as they tell the coolest tip and tidbits. Definitely, your fishing trips will be more productive, which comes from more knowledge and understanding of the fish life cycle. It is great, plus there are all sorts of camps and programs to choose from.

Kayaks rule the water in the Lower Keys!
We have it made here in Summerland and Cudjoe Keys, the are is loaded with mangrove island trails, nearshore cut thorough paths, and all the vast marine life. Everything is so easily accessible, and you see the most around the backcountry flats, channels, and bay inlets.

Summer Camp Programs at Mote Summerland
Kids can really get into all the marine life learning at the Summer Camp Programs. There in classroom learning and then water trips to the reefs and on kayaks. These are very well done.
