Tavernier Beach in the Florida Keys

If you have not vacationed in Key Largo or Tavernier, then this is one of the neat spots everyone should see. This beach park is very popular and has tons of free parking, big shade trees, picnic tables, restrooms, and a double wide boatramp launch. The water clarity is the key here, and all ages love watching the fish underwater.

In Town for the Wine Festival
This is a nice place to pick. We got a nice deal. Key Largo was our target because of the wine lovers festival. That is a huge event and rooms are hard to get that week. Some of the local restaurants that we like in town were the Buzzard's Roost and the Pilot House Grille.

List of Upper Florida Keys Beaches
In the upper keys there area only two main public beaches, Harry Harris Park being the free location. Pennekamp is the other. Beach parks are different down on the islands, not like the forever beaches of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
