Try to explore as many beaches as you can during your stay. Just know that a fun day out at the beach for a family here in Key West can be a lot different than the larger more well known beach areas around the State of Florida. Fort Taylor and Smathers are the big beach zones down here at the southernmost island. Even those to are completely different than each other. But, these cute little street-based access spots are a great treat on their own.

Sunshine Day is a Beach Day Just try to hit the water when the sun is shining so you can see the marine life around you. Underwater viewing is so fun.

One very cool Beach Zone Key West has a number of these public beach access areas, which are typically used primarily by those in the hotels very close by and walking distance residents. But it is so easy to get anywhere on the island so fast with a bicycle or scooter, that is the best way to explore it all.
