Join us for Yoga on the Beach
It would be excellent if you would publish my comment regarding the Yoga Class offered to all here in Key West. Yes, Yoga on the Beach is for those practicing for years or newbies that want to try yoga for the first time. You cannot beat the locations at Fort Taylor Park Beach and the Southernmost Beach off South Street. Yoga classes and teachers use diverse styles and are great for everyone. The classes are based on the practices of veteran yoga instructors and are very well received, all designed to locals and guests to find their center and peace of mind. Our primary goal is to help in creating a healthier you! Class schedules and full details are outlined via the Yoga on the Beach website (please add website link too). Thanks to all for making this so successful.

My favorite things to do
Being located in the Florida Keys means you have arrive at the place for outdoor exploration. Many of our parks on the waterway system and you are never far from a beach location. Some of my favorites are picnic destinations like Higgs Park, Smathers Beach, and historic Zachary Taylor Beach Park. Many spots are just a place to splash around and stay wet. Do not miss the Southernmost Bocce Park too! We have plenty and you will find the best of island life at the parks.

It Starts around our Islands Parks!
Locals and visitors just rave over our nature parks and outdoor experiences. No matter what your motivation may be: fitness, sightseeing, or connecting with nature, we all need to keep all areas and shorelines clean. Come see us at the Key West Wildlife Center, located inside of Sonny McCoy Indigenous Park. Volunteers are always welcomed too.

Fogarty's has the Healthy Salads for Fitness People
You local focus is refreshing, as our parks and recreation centers are so important to us that live on the island. We are lucky to have all the tennis courts, bocce, nature parks, and watersports activities. Staying in prime fitness shape is easy here. For the healthy folks looking for a huge salad, head to Fogarty's (see the add link below) and order the Southwestern Cobb Salad. You get plenty hungry moving and swimming during the day, so a big salad is perfect. The recipe uses romaine lettuce, smoked turkey, bacon, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, black beans, cilantro, red peppers, avocado, hard boiled egg, and a light honey citrus dressing. It is a nice mix of goodies, and I am sure I got most of the recipe correct. Very good indeed!
