Third Thursday Art Walk
Could you add some tidbits about the Third Thursday Art Walk held in Islamorada? Visitors and locals join together in our community to discover and enjoy all sorts of zany creations. Morada Way is easy to find, the largest landmark nearby is across the street, the Worldwide Sportsman. I would also like to thank all the volunteers that bring so much enthusiasm to the event. Our website has all the details, so please mark it on your Islamorada Event Calendar. Thank you.

A bad day of fishing is much, much better than a good day at the office! I love that quote. We stayed in Marathon Island last month and really had a nice time. You can get information and help for everything for a great day on the water at Captain Hooks. They were really helpful, and the shop is right on the water at Vaca Cut. If you are boating, this is a great area to rent a dockside condo with easy access to both the Gulf and the Atlantic. Without a boat, you can buy a ticket and go out on the Island Hopper. The party fishing boat is hugely popular and that was one of the highlights of our vacation. It is a lot easier to catch fish with a professional fishing guide.

Islamorada Restaurants that are great for Children
We would invite families with children to take advantage of the Outback Grill Children's Menu. This list of goodies is highly tested to bring big smiles to Islamorada's most youthful visitors: Joey Sirloin, Grilled Chicken On The BBQ, Boomerang Cheese Burger, Mac-a-Roo Cheese, Grilled Cheese-A-Roo, Junior BBQ Ribs, Kookaburra Chicken Fingers, and a winner for the end is the Spotted Dog Sundae. Right on the beach with great views and here at the restaurant is a small sandy playground area, fun for smaller kids to enjoy. Find us oceanside at Mile Marker 80, (79999 Overseas Highway or 305-664-3344) behind the Hampton-Hilton Suites Hotel.

Conch Republic Days Event
Could we please post a comment and website information about our annual Conch Republic Days Event. This is one to mark your calendars for April when our celebration of the Keys independence from the Mainland begins. Big fun for all as a bunch of local bars have a wide variety of Florida Keys style entertainment, bikini contests, fishing tournaments, wine tasting, and more. Live music and drink specials are a big part of it all. The Upper Keys Business Group is behind it all, who are local people with a vision of having more fun and increasing tourism to benefit all. The local flavor and appeal of Conch Republic Days really shows off the best of the Upper Keys.

Where do I report a Florida Keys Fishing or Boating Violation?
Everyone that is visiting or living in the Florida Keys can help out. Yes, your eyeballs and video camera or even the camera photograph can document a wrong doing to our quality of life. Please report any apparent marine life violation to the Florida Wildlife Commission or FWC. Nothing is worse than seeing fishing boat passengers throwing beer bottles into the water, improper mooring on the reefs, or a scuba diver deliberately exceeding the Monroe County Lobster Bag Limits. Anyone can report suspected problems or issues with boating or reef diving law violations through the 24-hour a day hotline at 888-404-3922. We appreciate your awareness.
