Here is one of the tour stops for the train, three total stops a-b-c. I goes all over Old Town, but you can only get off or on at one of designated stops. Stop-a, this one is the most convenient to Mallory Square and my favorite Conch Fritter Shop!
This is where to buy train tickets. After you purchase your tickets here at the counter, you can shop around staying close by. They ring the bell and make a bunch of noise well before it takes off on the journey around the city center and old historic district.
You need a good week to do this city right, and if you can do a two week vacation, then you have it gold. Some fine attractions are highlighted on the ride. We get our tickets at the Front Street Depot, since we lock our bikes up right there. You are certainly going to want to see all of these: Aquarium - customs house - fort zachary taylor - La Concha - the armory - Smathers Beach - Turtle Kraals - eduardo h gato house - and finish it off with the drink of the day at Captain Tony's Saloon. It will certainly have rum in it!
Thanks for the front street Train Depot info and details on the six-toed cat we have been feeding at the weekly condo rental! The cat's name is poochie and he is very sweet and domesticated. He was one of the ones abandoned. He'd make an excellent companion. Thanks again!
