Scenic restaurant dining has another classic spot in Islamorada Florida Keys (Mile Marker 77 Bar). Scenic restaurant dining has another classic spot in Islamorada Florida Keys (Mile Marker 77 Bar). We like to stop here even if we are not staying on the island this time. It is fun to stay in all sorts of different keys locations, but the good road trip stops stay the same. The show here is the Hungry Tarpon, the spot to taste grilled seafood and enjoy sealife close-up!
The Bluewater Sandwich is a fantastic grilled dish, oh my do they cook fine stuff here. The prime cut burgers are the way to go with children. Easy parking is nice.
Nice location, but a little pricey. Even the kids menu list for dinner is crazy high. We liked the vibe for sure, with all the marina action. That is the big plus. The Island Grill has much better prices. I had the Mahi-Mahi Reuben, which is grilled mahi or dolphin on sourdough bread with fat-free thousand island dressing, cheese, coleslaw, and mega cold beers!
Good fish tacos, which are the rage down here on the islands. Right near the bridge and the boats zoom in and out, plus the Boat Dockage is excellent for lunch or dinner. Nice pit stop, was heading to stay at Coconut Cay in Marathon. The hotels are cheaper by about 20% in Marathon as it is farther for the Miami weekend crowd.
