This is the place to stay on a boat and be close to everything. I really like the boating scene down here in the Lower Florida Keys. A lot of people come to the island in ships and sailboats, anchoring here at the seaport docks. The area is outstanding.
A pleasure it is to get a boat slip within walking distance to Duval Street. I really like this zone with lots of bars, grocery stores, and shops within walking distance. You can get set up and purchase showers and dinghy dockage from the dockmaster here at Key West Bight Marina. All of your boat supplies can be gotten within about two blocks. Fuel is available at A&B Marina, Bight Marina, and Conch Harbor Marina, which are all right next to each other, so take your pick. You need to know that fees will get you just like the hotel bed tax and marina rates have a sales tax on top of the rates unless otherwise noted. It is a cool place to be inside the port and lots of sailboats go just offshore for anchorage. I would stay here if you can get a reservation since it is the most convenient to downtown fun. The view from your boat dock spot is great with lots of action and reef boats going out. You will not get bored with the zany Old Town and the non-stop boat traffic.
