A whole group of us were down for vacation from South Florida (Naples area) and we like to party, dine out, and see all of the sightseeing attractions. A few places really stood out to us. For dinner, go with Red Fish Blue Fish, which has the best food for the price. Lunches are dynamite at Bo's Fish Wagon (price & value matters). Pepe's tops the breakfast spots in Key West, but Blue Heaven and Cuban Coffee Queen are right there too! All offer lower prices as compared to local competition.
I like it here for lunch as they ice tea glasses are really big and free refills. In the evening it is a good spot after sunsets to sip a Margarita and sample some of the island's fresh-catch seafood. That is the nightlife fun here in historic Old Town. Nothing beats cocktail sampling at all the watering holes!
Here is the story behind the Red Drum or otherwise known as Redfish. You catch them legally mainly inshore near grass beds, oyster bars, and around the hotel docks pilings. Focus on the deeper channels during the warmest and coolest months.
