Our last trip to the Florida Keys landed us in Islamorada at the Holiday Isle. So playful and fun is this area, we spent our days on the water and evenings in the restaurants. Try the Green Turtle Inn for some well prepared food dishes, we focus on Seafood. Try the fresh made fish dip to get you started, while reviewing the menu. Grilled anything is fantastic!
This is a Florida Keys tradition since the 1950s, and we have been returning for years. Seafood is the big item here, and they do it just right. The Green Turtle is like stepping back in time to the Keys of Yesteryear. Easy to find off US1, the place for the very best in authentic Florida Keys cooking.
Interesting is all the local area nostalgia to review before you eat. Very good is the restaurant is the classic chowder and the lobster filled lasagna. Has an afternoon Happy Hour until 6pm.
Green Turtle has some tasty and innovative dishes, and is great for seafood. Drinkers can indulge with a full smorgasbord of frozen specials too. All good and in a laid-back environment. The island is so nice for shopping, we like to stop and walk the strip.
My spot for fish and lobster. Some nights they have music and it is near the middle of the island, which makes it easy for everyone to bike ride too. Love the clam chowder and the and frozen cocktails.
Thursday night is really good here as this is when they have the Green Turtle's Late Night Jam. No cover, and it starts at 10pm and has happy hour prices. The live music and jam sessions are excellent, so do not miss it.
